About the role

Permanent, full-time Primary Class Teacher from Term 1, 2027, guiding students from Year 1 through their primary years. The role covers an integrated programme including literacy, mathematics, science, languages and humanities, using stories, art, music and practical learning. Duties include assessment, reporting, behaviour support, pastoral care, administration and participation in staff activities, with mentoring and professional learning available through the school’s teachers’ college.

• Formal teaching qualification and current ACT TQI registration
• Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration
• Primary or secondary teaching experience across several classes
• Steiner curriculum knowledge or willingness to develop it
• Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and student wellbeing
• Unrestricted long-term work rights in Australia

About the school

Orana Steiner School is a co-educational Early Childhood to Year 12 school of about 500 students in Weston, Canberra, set on a 16-hectare property.
