Librarian

About the role

Permanent part-time Librarian managing the primary school library, its resources and daily services. The role is 18 hours a week across 41 weeks, ideally on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, supporting reading, literacy, inquiry learning and curriculum access. Duties include collection management, cataloguing, student supervision, reading programs, staff support, library records and purchasing recommendations. A working with children check, police clearance and RAN-EC training are required or must be obtainable.

• Library and information services qualification or equivalent library experience
• Knowledge of cataloguing, classification and library management systems
• Knowledge of children’s literature and reading promotion
• Strong organisation, accuracy and priority management
• Ability to work independently and alongside staff
• Understanding of inquiry-based learning

Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School is an independent primary school in Wynn Vale, Adelaide. It has a Lutheran and Christian ethos and focuses on students’ spiritual, academic, emotional and social development through the values of love, collaboration and exploration.
