Child Safeguarding Manager - National

About the role

This permanent, full-time national role leads and coordinates child safeguarding across BlendED schools and jurisdictions. Day-to-day work includes advising school, operational and executive leaders on mandatory reporting, reportable conduct, wellbeing concerns, incidents and compliance requirements. The role begins in January 2027 and offers a senior total employment package, with salary details discussed with shortlisted applicants.

What they’re looking for

• Relevant tertiary qualification in safeguarding, education, social work, psychology, law or related fields
• At least five years’ experience in safeguarding, protection, compliance or wellbeing
• Experience advising on complex child protection or safeguarding matters
• Working with Children Checks across relevant Australian states, or ability to obtain them
• Current police check, Australian work rights, first aid and driver licence
• Commitment to the organisation’s operating principles

About the school

EREA BlendED National is a growing network of registered secondary schools using online teaching, in-person gatherings and wellbeing support for young people unable to manage traditional classrooms. It operates in the Edmund Rice tradition and currently has schools in Tasmania and Queensland, with New South Wales planned from Term 1 2027. Its work is guided by respect, honesty, participation, and keeping people safe and lawful.
