About the role

Permanent part-time Early Years Physical Education Teacher working 0.6 FTE with Kindy to Year 1 students. The role includes Health and Physical Education lessons and Learn to Swim sessions for Prep and Year 1 at set times during the year, beginning January 2027. Duties include planning inclusive movement learning, assessing development, managing equipment and working with classroom teachers, families and specialist staff. The advertised salary is $55,930 to $79,380 for a 0.6 FTE appointment, depending on teaching experience.

• Recognised teaching qualification relevant to primary, early childhood, health or physical education
• Queensland College of Teachers registration or eligibility
• AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia or equivalent swimming qualification
• Knowledge of early childhood development and inclusive movement teaching
• Current First Aid and CPR, or ability to obtain before starting
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
