Family Educator - Ryde

About the role

The Family Educator supports the school’s Catholic mission by building relationships among families, the parish and school community. This includes developing and running initiatives that help parents and families connect with the religious life of the school and parish, working with school leaders, parish staff, the Religious Education Coordinator and church agencies. The position is part-time at 0.6FTE (45.6 hours per fortnight), temporary for an initial two-year contract, starting 28 January 2027.

What they’re looking for

• Baptised Catholic with an active commitment to Catholic faith practice
• Parish or pastoral ministry experience with adults and families
• Understanding of Catholic evangelisation, catechesis, doctrine and scripture
• Creative organisation of family and parish engagement opportunities
• Strong communication, presentation, planning and organisational skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification and at least four years’ experience
