Director - Identity and Practice

About the role

This full-time, five-year fixed-term role provides national strategic leadership across Catholic identity, formation, wellbeing, safeguarding and relational practice. Based within the National Leadership Team, the Director advises senior leaders and the Board, develops organisational frameworks and capability programmes, and supports culture, mission and practice. The role begins in January 2027 and may require driving school vehicles.

What they’re looking for

• Senior leadership experience in education, Catholic education, wellbeing or human services
• Relevant tertiary qualification in theology, education, social work, psychology or related discipline
• Experience leading strategy, organisational change and culture transformation
• Experience embedding formation, safeguarding, wellbeing or practice frameworks
• Strong understanding of Catholic education, EREA’s Charter and Touchstones
• Current or obtainable Working with Children and police checks

About the school

EREA BlendED National is a growing network of registered secondary schools using online teacher-led learning, in-person gatherings and wellbeing support. It supports young people who cannot currently manage conventional classrooms, with schools established in Tasmania and Queensland and New South Wales planned for 2027. The organisation follows the Edmund Rice tradition and operates through respect, honesty, participation, and safe and legal practice.
