Teacher - Specialist School

About the role

This is a full-time, permanent teaching position working with learners aged 5 to 21 who have complex communication, learning, physical or behavioural needs. From Term 4 or Term 1, you will create individual learning programmes with teacher aides, therapists and other specialists across small classes and inclusive settings. The role includes a Special Duties allowance and is open to beginning teachers.

About the school

Sommerville School is a specialist school based in Panmure, Auckland, with satellite classes in 15 mainstream schools, a programme for young adults aged 18 to 21, and an Outreach Service. It supports learners from age 5 to 21 and works with their wider school communities and whānau.
